Who writes here?

My name is Arthur Ruger. I live on the Hayden Plain north of Coeur D’ Alene, Idaho. I've been referred to as a curmudgeon.

I’m the author of two historical fiction novels, a book of poetry and a hard-to-resist urge to blog now going into 20 years.

I don’t seem to have a one-track mind limited to a single focus. I’m liable to write about politics, religion, history, writing itself, sports (I have an average of 8 fantasy teams at any season of the year - baseball, basketball and football.)

Growing older causes among other things my own notions about being an eagle stuck among turkeys sometimes or being a turkey once in a while in the presence of eagles.

May my whines be less and my wisdom when it appears be more.

I hope to offer my unsolicited opinions daily if possible.
